Applied Criminology Initiative
As part of the Initiative Angewandte Kriminologie (IAK), the ZIK plays an active role in maintaining and disseminating the practical application of forensic criminology. Using the method of ideal-typical comparative individual case analysis (MIVEA), we want to provide practitioners in the field of criminal justice and other professions involved in proceedings with a tool that fulfils the high requirements of evidence-based risk assessment as well as the basic principles of our criminal law and criminal procedure law.
Read more about MIVEA and the Applied Criminology initiative here or contact iak[at]uni-mainz.de if you have any questions.
